A "unique participant" is any Slack user in your team that joins a Breakout and is successfully placed into a breakout room. A "unique participant" is the billing unit of BreakoutHub. A single user is only counted once as a unique participant in a month, regardless of how many breakouts they join.

Once the billing cycle is over an invoice will be issued to the email address associated with the account. Invoices must be paid by the end of the month received to remain in good standing. Invoices will be issued a minimum of 3 weeks before due date. Currently payments are accepted by credit card in USD.

All billing cycles commence at the start of each calendar month (the 1st) at 00:00:00 UTC.

If the unique user count is 25 or below in any month where a plan has transitioned, the month will be free. If the unique user count is above 25, full month charges will apply.

Yes, once you enable a paid-plan you are able to set a limit to the number of unique participants in each month. By limiting the number of unique participants you are setting the maximum you will be charged. There is no minimum charge so you can still be charged less than what you have set as the maximum. If the number of unique participants for a month has already been exceeded when a new, lower, limit is set, no new participants will be able to join breakouts during the month and you will be charged for the number of unique participants that have successfully joined a breakout.

From the "Manage Account" page you can switch back to a free account at any time (accrued charges for the month will still be billed). Accounts can also be unlinked from this page.
